I am the Wonderseeker: Celebrating my African American heritage and LGBTQ+ Pride

Reflecting on my experiences as a gay African American artist, I wrote and performed "Wonderseeker" as a declaration of liberation. Inspired, in part, by the Oríkì oral praise poetry tradition of indigenous Yórùbá communities of Western Africa, "Wonderseeker" attempts to express the ingenuity, perseverance, and pride that I've inherited from - and share beyond - my LGTBQ+ community. The Wonderseeker knows that queerness brings new ways of seeing the world, as well as new approaches to systemic problems. And the Wonderseeker is never shackled or silenced as they fill the world with love, light, and truth. "Wonderseeker" (Single Mix) is a remix of the original track from my forthcoming album, FOR THOSE WHO REMAIN. The single is now available for pre-save/pre-order and will drop June 13 on Bandcamp, Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon, and more!
